What is Part 141 Flight Training?
Part 141 flight training is an FAA-approved program that follows a structured syllabus. Due to being structured and closely monitored by the FAA, students can often earn their pilot certificates with fewer total flight hours compared to Part 61 training.
Key Benefits of Part 141 Training:
-
Lower Hour Requirements – Private Pilot in as little as 35 hours (instead of 40 under Part 61). Commercial Pilot in 195 hours (instead of 250 under Part 61).
-
Efficient & Structured – Follows a step-by-step syllabus designed for faster progress.
-
Higher Success Rates - Pass rates >80%. The structured program and stage checks allow students to be more prepared for their checkride, leading to higher pass rates! Our approach to flight training results in professional, competent, well-rounded students who are set up for success.
Who is it for?
Most of our students follow a Part 141 Program. Those completing the Accelerated Career Pilot Program, going through Liberty University, or are using their VA-Benefits will also train under Part 141. We provide Part 61 flight training to those students that have already met partial requirements for their ratings, are training very infrequently, or where a Part 61 approach suits their needs better.
